Uncle John's Band
Their new album Uncle John's Band will be released in September on the quality label ECM Records. Ever since his breakthrough as a band member of Miles Davis, John Scofield has been loved for his melodic guitar playing, which can sound virtuoso and smooth on the one hand and angular and gritty on the other. As a solo artist, he embraced many styles, from funk and fusion to country and rhythm and blues. The three-time Grammy winner plays in his current trio with double bassist Vicente Archer and drummer Bill Stewart.
