Jamie Peet & Niels Broos + special guest Otis Sandsjö (ADE)

Incredibly catchy

This year, in addition to many DJ sets, Amsterdam Dance Event also presents special live acts, such as Niels Broos and Jamie Peet. They can be seen as the instigators of a new Dutch movement that is somewhere between electronics, jazz and hip-hop. Their music is completely improvised, yet incredibly catchy. With analog instruments they build a tension that is reminiscent of the electronic music of Aphex Twin, Squarepusher and Autechre. Special guest is the Swedish saxophonist Otis Sandsjö. The Berlin-based saxophonist has previously played here with his band Y-OTIS.

As a keyboardist and musical director, Niels Broos has built up extensive experience with Jameszoo, Daedelus and the Kyteman Orchestra, among others. With producer Hyroglifics from London he released an EP as Rippps on Alpha Pup Records. Jamie Peet is one of the most sought-after drummers in the Netherlands and has toured with big names such as Gregory Porter and Kris Bowers. The duo Niels Broos and Jamie Peet previously released an EP on the Super-Sonic Jazz label.
