Jacob Bro

Danish guitarist Jakob Bro is known for his layered, spacious sound, which he has demonstrated on several occasions on our stage. Without gimmicks or fuss, he always manages to give a concert the intimacy of a living room, with the audience as part of a story told with fine brushes.

Midori Takada

He is now back with a special program: In the concert's first part, Jakob Bro and Japanese multi-percussionist Midori Takada will play a fully improvised set. Takada is a true legend of ambient music and, at age 70, still plays with tremendous physical intensity.

The quartet

After the improvised set with Takada, Bro will showcase new compositions and tracks from his album Returnings with trumpeter Palle Mikkelborg, cellist Anja Lechner and percussionist Marilyn Mazur. The quartet revolves around the musicians’ individual voices, which are given the freedom to come in or ebb away at any time.
