Under Doppio Espressivo, Rick Stotijn, Bram van Sambeek and their musical friends recorded a CD with Camerata RCO with baroque Italian double concertos for low instruments. That may sound a bit dark, but there is also a lot of lightness between the low sounds. BBC Music Magazine heard 'interplay as warm and dark as coffee', 'blues-like swing in Vivaldi' and 'bel canto melodies that evoke the sound world of 19th-century coffee houses'. The magazine gave it five stars. That is promising! They are taking music by Vivaldi and Bottesini from this CD to the Concertgebouw.

Bram van Sambeek and Rick Stotijn both won the Dutch Music Prize, the highest award a Dutch musician can receive. In this program, they are together the foundation - which they are used to with their low instruments - and the soloists. Unique musicians with unique music: a golden combination.
