Herz Ensemble & Kate Moore - Music Box/ Revolver
Inspired by the kinetic physicality and aesthetics of balance in the work of Ken Unsworth, the music embodies a sense of suspension between movement and stillness. Evolving and twisting melodies, expertly placed in polyrhythmic structures, the music creates an intoxicating and emotional impression. There is a sense of constant movement and flux of sonic currents that typifies much of Kate Moore's music. In Plein Theater.

Music Box/ Revolver
The music shifts from the material world, the gradually shifting stony cycles of the title track 'Revolver', the understated power and poignancy of 'The Boxer' to the various slowly unfolding melodies of the rope-inspired 'Song Of Ropes', and finally to a contemplation of the immaterial in 'Way Of The Dead'.
With: Kate Moore (voice and ancient instruments), Meiyi Lee (percussion), Georgia Burashko (voice), Beate Loonstra (harp), Dario Calderone (bass), Jellantsje de Vries (violin), Susanne Rosmolen (cello)
