Funaná, originally a traditional music and dance style from Cape Verde, is brightened up by Grupo Pilon with some western influences such as the electric guitar and the keyboard. This combination of traditional and western can also be heard on their latest album 'Nu Sta Li', which represents this connection. On December 12, the band will play in the Bovenzaal of Paradiso.
