Musical trio

The musical trio Gilsons was founded in 2018 and consists of Francisco, João and José Gil. In addition to elements of pop rock, samba, reggae and Bahiano rhythms, it also refers to the classic MPB music of father and grandfather Gilberto Gil. After a strong run of releases, with the hits "Várias Queixas" and "Devagarinho", the band released their debut album "Pra Gente Acordar", which was nominated for the Latin Grammy "Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese Language" in September.

The group has performed at major festivals throughout Brazil, recently sharing Rock in Rio's Sunset Stage with Jorge Aragão to an audience of over 100,000. Additionally, the band has been confirmed in the 2023 Lollapalooza Brazil lineup.
