Fuensanta solo & guests - Genevieve Artadi trio ft. Louis Cole & Chiquita Magic

Breathtaking vocal lines connect this double concerto

New Maker and artist-in-residence Fuensanta (singer and bass player) will open the concert solo, with several special guests taking the stage. Closing is the equally exceptional singer Genevieve Artadi, known from the Knower duo with drum giant Louis Cole, who will also make an appearance tonight.

Fuensanta

Fuensanta is a singer, double bassist and composer – born in Veracruz, Mexico and based in Amsterdam. She intertwines atmospheric play with poetry and folklore into new forms like no other. Singing, bass and poetry proved to be a golden combination during her musical development. Tonight she presents her latest release on GroundUP Music, the label founded by Snarky Puppy leader Michael League.

Genevieve Artadi

Artadi will play songs from her new album Forever Forever on Brainfeeder Records. The ups and downs of her friendships and relationships inspired the colourful songs, which move between jazz and the progressive pop of Talking Heads and Stereolab. The album was recorded in Mexico with keyboardist Chiquita Magic and drummer Louis Cole, among others, who will also perform tonight.
