Fuensanta ft. Ensamble Grande
Fuensanta
When writing this new work, Fuensanta was inspired by a wide range of composers of electronic and contemporary (classical) music such as Arvo Pärt, Björk & Rosalía. The creative jack-of-all-trades is supported on stage by her exuberant Ensamble Grande, consisting of vocalist Sanem Kalfa, drummer Sun-Mi Hong and trumpeter Alistair Payne. Organist Kit Downes has been added especially for this concert. Fuensanta is a singer, double bassist and composer – born in Veracruz, Mexico and based in Amsterdam. Like no other, she interweaves atmospheric play with poetry and folklore into new forms. Singing, bass and poetry turned out to be a golden combination for her during her musical development. She recently released her EP Principio del Fuego on GroundUP Music.
