Friends Concert - Netherlands String Quartet Academy

The Dutch String Quartet Academy (NSKA) guides young talented quartets to a flourishing future in the international performing arts. Founded by Stefan Metz in 2001, the artistic direction has been in the hands of Marc Danel, primarius of the Danel Quartet, since 2011. Once a year, the NSKA organizes a large Friends Concert to gain more name recognition and to offer a stage to its top ensembles. Open to the public. Friends of NSKA can attend this concert for free. Slot Concert Celebration

The NSKA Friends Concert will take place on 30 September at the iconic Waalse Kerk in Amsterdam. Following three days of intensive masterclasses with Marc Danel, this festive final concert will close the event. On Monday, 30 September, before the concert, two public masterclasses will be featuring the Paddington Trio and the Viride Quartet, also held at De Waalse Kerk.

Masterclasses

The masterclasses by Marc Danel, the first violinist of the Danel Quartet, are free to attend. Please register in advance via info@nska.nl.
