It's hard to put a label on Fazil Say. He is a pianist, composer and improviser. In his work he combines Eastern music with Western music and jazz, thus forging diverse musical cultures into one whole. He is extremely enthusiastic about the Goldmund Quartett. They performed together for the first time, but when Say heard the Goldmunds' performance of his own work on CD, he was already full of praise.

Schumann, Say and Mozart

In addition to Space Jump, Say programmed his string quartet Divorce . "That piece is based on my divorce and that of my parents, traumatic experiences," says Say. 'The Goldmunds understand the energy of the work, and what I want to say with it.' In Schumann's Piano Quintet the musicians sit together on stage, Say calls the work beautiful. Mozart's lilting Divertimento KV 138 provides a dancing change.
