Eric Vloeimans, Kinan Azmeh, Jeroen van Vliet: Blow the Wind Easterly: Schoouwburg Amstelveen
East meets West with top clarinettists. After the resounding success of Levanter, Azmeh, Vloeimans, and Van Vliet are back with a new performance. A concert in which their worlds merge, and three brothers in music find each other again in Blow The Wind Easterly.
Blow The Wind Easterly
Kinan Azmeh is an internationally admired musician. This top clarinettist from Damascus invited our top trumpeter, Eric Vloeimans, for a first, special collaboration ten years ago, and the men have been inseparable ever since.
Vloeimans had long been fascinated by oriental sounds, and the musical click was so strong that it felt like they had been playing together for centuries. They both wanted more and played Levanter together, an enchanting performance in which top pianist Jeroen van Vliet assisted the men. The synergy between the musicians was so strong that a new collaboration was inevitable.
In Blow The Wind Easterly, the men develop a new repertoire and take you on a musical voyage of discovery to distant horizons. On an evening with unexpected views and the endless, all-embracing sea. You think you know them, but prepare yourself for a magical surprise.
