Elise Lorraine
Singer Elise Lorraine sings works she performed in the 1990s, several of which were written especially for her. The program includes works by John Cage and composers from the Netherlands, such as Louis Andriessen and Calliope Tsoupaki, Andrew Toovey from Great Britain, and also a composition by the singer herself. The passage of time is a theme in many of the lyrics, through poets like James Joyce and Allen Ginsberg and Federico García Lorca – and the mood shifts from playful to passionate.
