Club Kazoo #2: Ralph de Jongh
In the atmospheric Tolhuis in Amsterdam North, a number of people selflessly started a new live music club: Club Kazoo. A club of and for music lovers that has a warm heart for popular music in all its forms (pop, jazz, soul, world, alternative). On Thursday, April 20, guitarist / singer Ralph de Jongh and his band will transform the Tolhuis into a steaming blues bar. The support act is provided by Peace Frog with jazz prodigy Wiel Holtman, bassist Ralph Brink and drummer Jan Holtman.

Club Kazoo has brought in a greatness with Ralph de Jongh . He has been called "an absolute world-class blues artist" and "one of the greatest songwriters" in the music press. Harry Muskee met Ralph in 2004 and wrote a letter of recommendation: '(…) Ralph de Jongh plays with conviction and a drive that you don't see much these days. A musician who opts for a piece of blues culture in the form of Robert Johnson, Son House, Elmore James and Muddy Waters.'
Ralph de Jongh exposes his soul as if in a trance during his performances. A phenomenal atmosphere of sound, in which you can dream away to the times of the pre-war blues and the sixties of Keith Richards and Jagger. If you're invited by the Robert Johnson Foundation in 2011 to do two performances for the 100th anniversary of Robert Johnson, you're a big one. Brace yourself for a unique, sizzling blues evening.
