The choir of St John's College Cambridge is perhaps the very best boys' choir in the world. Or well, boys' choir: since 2022, the ancient British institution has also decided to admit girls. They are the only 'Oxbridge Collegiate Choir' to have dropped their 'boys only' rule. Musically speaking, the choir is at the absolute top of the English choral tradition, which in itself is unique worldwide.

The choir performs beautiful, moody Christmas music: from Byrd and Bach to Vaughan Williams and Mendelssohn. Classics like Mendelssohn's Hark!
