Dutch premiere
The beautiful Missa Tagore by Uusberg consists of a capella parts on traditional mass texts and parts with accompaniment of harp and cello, on texts by Rabindranath Tagore. Other pieces on the program complement this line-up, including compositions accompanied by harp (by Gustav Holst and Nico Muhly) and by cello (by John Tavener and Sarah Quartel).
World premiere
Enjoy the extraordinary sounds of the marimba, which accompanies us with spectacular music by Dominick DiOrio and Eriks Ešenvalds. As a special moment to celebrate the anniversary, our conductor Felix van den Hombergh has composed Chō , a brand new piece for choir, cello, harp and marimba. All in all, these promise to be 2 magnificent performances, with pieces full of mystical, romantic and natural themes.
