In November 2019, she released the EP Wilton with producer Jack Dine, followed by their album Marigold. In the fall of 2022, she collaborated with producer Terrace Martin on the project I Left My Heart In Ladera. Alex appeared in the HBO series Insecure, had an NPR Tiny Desk (Home Edition) appearance, and debuted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside Robert Glasper and SiR. Their song "Back To Love" earned her 2 Grammy nominations: Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.
