How do you feel in Nieuw-West? In this workshop, inspired by the feminist body-territory mapping from Latin America, we will try to translate our feelings about Nieuw-West into art. These can be feelings of love, but also of fear and tension. Will you join us? (note: children under supervision)

Opening photo exhibition: Shared perspectives in Nieuw-West

Everyone has a favorite spot that they return to again and again. This could be a bench, a building, or perhaps a spot of greenery. Which spot in the neighborhood means something to you? Photographer Karin van de Wiel asked residents and went out with them to capture these personal and often hidden places.

Karin van de Wiel lives and works in Nieuw-West. Since 2017, she has been portraying the changing district and its residents.

Panel discussion: Speak about Nieuw-West

How does the neighborhood change? What is the impact of gentrification? A panel discussion about living in a changing city, under the inspiring leadership of historian and activist Tayfun Balçik. (note: not suitable for children)
