All shows will take place in Het Zonnehuis, a monument theatre in Amsterdam Noord. A new theatre space, a new format and new dates all line up for a great opportunity and exciting energy to reignite Amsterdam’s reputation as a great and inspiring home for improvisation.
Most nights will feature two shows from different groups and performers, while the closing night on Saturday, 14 May will feature performers from each of the 12 provinces going against each other to determine the ultimate Impro maestro. Tickets are sold per night, rather than for individual shows and can be bought via the IMPRO Amsterdam website.
Workshops as part of the festival are given at various venues across Amsterdam and topics cover a range of skills and good practices for performing improvisational theatre. They are open to anyone wanting to taste or improvisation or to those who want to learn more about the art form.
All performances are played in English.
