ITA in the open air

This summer, the ITA ensemble will play a large-scale open-air performance for the first time in its history. In the Amsterdam Bostheater they will perform the Dutch premiere of The Damned, directed by Ivo van Hove.

This theater adaptation, based on a film script by the Italian filmmaker Luchino Visconti, shows how a family of wealthy German industrialists falls fatally in their collaboration with the Nazi party that has come to power. The head of the family, Baron Joachim, resists and is liquidated. The battle for succession leads to an escalation of intrigue and manipulation, betrayal and murder.

After Paris, London and New York, among others, the production is finally coming to Amsterdam. The Damned promises to be the theater experience of the year. A gripping and sensational performance by a world-renowned director, with a huge ensemble of actors, film and live music. Exclusively and only on view from 15 June to 23 July in the Amsterdam Bostheater. From June 21, the performance will be subtitled in English.
