Rusalka

In Slavic mythology, a Rusalka is a water nymph in the form of a beautiful, but soulless woman. Dvorák’s Rusalka dreams of a life on land when she falls in love with a human prince, and sacrifices everything to be with him. A cornerstones of Czech opera, this annual Holland Festival production sees the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra led by young Czech conductor Jakub Hruša.
