The famous Russian Imperial Ballet from St. Petersburg was commissioned by Tsar Alexander Romanov III in 1890 to design a grand, unforgettable fairytale ballet on new music by Piotr Iljitsch Tchaikovsky. With choreography by French ballet master Marius Petipa.
