Music for the millions

Top players from the international gypsy jazz world will unite for the sixth edition of Django Amsterdam. The first set on Saturday evening will be led by Wattie Rosenberg, who’s considered one of the purest violinists around today.

He will be accompanied for this special occasion by solo guitarist Fafie Reinhardt. After them, guitarist and tastemaker Robin Nolan will take the stage with Dutch saxophone pride Benjamin Herman, for a hot night of Django- inspired music. This is a collaboration that has attracted many new fans and produced the critically acclaimed EP Swing De Paris.

Django Amsterdam is proud to have this quartet back at the BIMHUIS after their 2016 sell-out performance. Prior to the concerts the guitar duo of Ian Date and Jan de Jong will provide a lyrical and swinging ambiance at the BIMHUIS restaurant. After the show everyone is invited to dance at the late night jam session featuring the Dennis Pol Acoustic Trio.
