A very special evening featuring three different album presentations by young bands, in addition to the announcement of three new beginning bands who will win a fully financed CD production worth 10.000 euro. The following three young bands and winners of the 2018 edition will present their new albums: Guy Salamon Group, Half Easy Trio and Tijs Klaassen Quintet. In addition to these presentations from the winners of the 2017 edition of The Records, the winners of this year will be announced. They are chosen earlier that day by the jury consisting of musicians and other music professionals. These seven finalists were selected on the basis of appliances from jazz alumni of the Dutch conservatories. Keep an Eye – The Records is a project of the Keep an Eye Foundation. The Keep an Eye Foundation collaborates with art schools in The Netherlands and beyond. This private organization is aimed at helping young artists and musicians at the start of their career. With Keep an Eye – The Records, the foundation aims to support a number of CD productions of beginner bands every year.
