Whether it is minimal techno, experimental jazz or Moroccan desert blues: the Hungarian violinist Luca Kézdy and her band Santa Diver find it all equally important. Their music is of a mysterious beauty, with instruments that often sound different than usual. Koma Saxo from Berlin sounds just as unorthodox and at the same time contemporary. The German-Scandinavian quintet plays clear and transparent, unlike what you would expect from a band with three saxophonists in their ranks. Their debut album sounds as it is remixed by a DJ, thanks to the clever break beats of drummer Christan Lillinger. *The concert of Santa Diver is presented in collaboration with Amersfoort jazz Festival (may 14-17), which has a Focus on World Jazz From Hungary.
