Kruidkoek is the ideal outlet for four good friends who like to shift boundaries. And with success: they already played at Paradiso, the Melkweg and big festivals. They describe their style as garage jazz, ‘sometimes pretty, often loud and never boring.’ Following two EPs, their eponymous debut came out last year, an versatile album full of deliriously titled tracks. This fall a new album is released, which could well lead to their big breakthrough. ‘Bass, drums, sax and guitar go through the roof’ (Bluesmagazine). ‘The twelve original pieces blowing through your room are supported by great arrangements, catchy riffs, meticulous structure, skillful tempo changes, organized chaos and furious solos’ (Jazzenzo on Kruidkoek’s debut album).
