Ever since John Scofield played with Miles Davis some decades ago, he is one of the greatest jazz guitar players of all times. He won several Grammy’s and made albums in many different styles. He shares his love for New Orleans rhythm and blues with Jon Cleary, a pianist with a golden voice, who previously worked together with Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal and B.B. King. This British-born musician has been living in New Orleans since the age of 17. 10 years ago he played on John Scofield’s album Piety Street. Now Scofield and Cleary form a duo, drawing from a timeless repertory with R&B, roots and funk from New Orleans; think of illustrious names such as Little Willie John, Professor Longhair, Johnny Guitar Watson and Fats Domino.
