The Jasper Blom Quartet regularly collaborates with exceptional guest soloists from European jazz. Following projects with Marco Tamburini and Bert Joris the group has invited Nils Wogram. ‘His technique as well as his musical thinking have a rare flexibility’, says de Volkskrant about the trombonist from Berlin, who is counted among the best improvisers in the world. With bands such as Root 70 and Nostalgia he links jazz to the rock and dance underground.
Jasper Blom has been praised as a remarkably flexible tenor saxophonist and composer, who is open to funk and jazz as well as music from the Middle Ages or the 19th century. For more than 10 years he leads his all star quartet with Jesse van Ruller, Frans van der Hoeven and Martijn Vink.
