Forq is an instrumental quartet with a dynamic sound and a penchant for sonic exploration. The group is composed of world-class improvisers, but it is their unusually memorable, genre-blending songs that leave the most lasting impression. Keyboardist Henry Hey shares his love for ‘weird music’ with the other band members, who are all established, word-class improvisers. Henry Hey made name with his own co-led group Rudder and established himself as composer and producer for major stars. He closely collaborated with David Bowie on the musical production Lazarus. Guitarist Chris McQueen co-founded three-time Grammy-winning formation Snarky Puppy. Drummer JT Thomas was a member of Roy Hargrove’s RH Factor. Bassist Kevin Scott worked with John McLaughlin, Donny McCaslin, and many others.
