Beautiful interplay

Lyrical, melodic and in the subdued parts even velvety and whispering: that is how Eric Vloeimans' trumpet sound is described. It was already clear in the BIMHUIS that it goes beautifully with Frank Woeste's wide-spreading keyboard playing, when they played a duo. Now they are back with a French bassist and drummer on the occasion of the new album Pocket Rhapsody II, for which Woeste wrote all the compositions.

Frank Woeste

is a jazz pianist with a classical foundation; for example, he arranged music by Ravel together with trombonist Ryan Keberle. He is known in the Paris jazz scene as a pianist, composer and arranger with a wide palette. He collaborated with Michel Portal and Dave Douglas, among others, and played in Ibrahim Maalouf's band.

Eric Vloeimans

is widely known as the leader of Gatecrash, Fugimundi and other projects in which he blurs the boundaries between jazz, pop and classical.
