Eleftheria Avarnitaki

Eleftheria Arvanitaki is the voice of Greece and enjoys super star status throughout the Mediterranean. De songstress is seen as an icon of the Neo-Rebetiko, the renaissance of the traditional Greek blues. In 2004 she appeared at the closing ceremony of the Olympics in Athens and through collaborations with renowned artists such as Cesaria Evora, Dulce Pontes and Phillip Glass she also gained international fame. With her strong live presence she performed on famous festivals like Montreux, Womad, Sfinks and Istanbul and international venues such as the Barbican in London.
