Turkish, Greek and Armenian culture

Duygu Alkan and her top ensemble members perform with great musicianship and passion for the cultural richness and diversity of Anatolia, but also for the common denominators of cultures.

Alkan studied classical Ottoman music at the State Conservatory of Turkish Music in Izmir and moved to Rotterdam in 2017. She is currently doing her master's degree in World Music at the Codarts Conservatory there. With her band she has won several awards, including one from the Municipality of Rotterdam, Droom en Daad.
