Bram de Looze and Reinier Baas have known each other for longer than today. Previously they played together in different projects and bands, but on this evening they each go their own way. The Flemish Bram De Looze has a love for special instruments. For example, on his current album Color Talk he plays a straight-strung instrument with a curved keyboard, designed by Rafael Viñoly – the star architect who is known for the newest skyscrapers in New York. The piano was built by Chris Maene, of whom De Looze previously played an instrument on the album Switching the Stream. On his solo debut Piano e forte, he played historical fortepianos in a contemporary manner. Nowadays, the average human being has an attention span of eight seconds, according to a recent study by Microsoft. Guitarist and composer Reinier Baas has serious doubts about this, and presents compositions of no less than sixty (!) seconds in his new program #oneminuteradio. He uses guitar, piano and electronics: a band in itself. Reinier Baas regularly presents new sixty-second compositions, look here.
