The feeling of hanging in mid-air: that’s what Bernard van Rossum would like to evoke with his new album Trampoline. The saxophone player and composer takes a breather from his succesful BvR Flamenco Big Band and heads for air in flowing, challenging rhythms inspired by his teenage years as a popdrummer. The warm sound of Spain is always near, Van Rossum was born and raised there with his English mother and Dutch father.
