Clarinetist Michel Marang and cellist Antonis Pratsinakis will play a program based on the beautiful 'The Fence, the Rooftop and the Distant Sea' by the Syrian composer Kinan Azmeh. It is a topical work about displacement, closed borders and perspectives, in which classical and jazz elements are mixed with Syrian folk music. Also on the program are pieces by composers who also allow a lot of folk music in their work, such as Bartok and Strawinsky and compositions by Michel and Antonis themselves.
