The Italian Duo Koiné brings to light some gems from the Italian violin and piano repertoire. The modern image of Tartini in Dallapiccola’s Tartiniana, the strong texture of Martucci (who can be considered as an "Italian Schumann”) and the late romantic music of Nino Rota that draw with the combination violin and piano a dreamlike stream of consciousness. Duo Koiné consists of violinist Cesare Zanfini and pianist Paolo Gorini. At the Oosterkerk in Amsterdam. Admission free, but donations are welcome.
