The IJ-Salon – Stabat Mater

Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater is seen by many as one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written and has spurred countless imitations (including one by Bach), adaptations and spin-offs. The IJ-Salon series presents a choreography by Peter Leung that features two singers – soprano Tania Lorenzo and mezzo-soprano Rosina Fabius – and two dancers – Sophie Vergères and Frederik Kaijser. Michael Gieler conducts members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
