What can you expect?

Photonen will sing relatively unknown works by two Polyphony masters: Cantique de Siméon by Sweelinck along with the festive Te Deum laudamus and the impressive Memor esto verbi Tui by Josquin.

During the piece Muusika, Photonen will also pay tribute to the young Estonian composer Pärt Uusberg and Jeroen Spitteler's response: Oorsprong, which premiered digitally last year. Both works are based on a poem by Juhan Liiv, in which the poet searches for the origin of music.

You can also expect harmonious sounds by  American Jake Runestad and the Norwegian Lasse Thoresen. Photonen will also premiere a second work: Goethe's layered text, permeated with melancholy and longing, inspired Jeroen Spitteler to set a new tone for Kennst du das Land wo die Zitronen blühn?
