Olli Mustonen, Ian Bostridge & Steven Isserlis

Three internationally acclaimed soloists join forces for this concert, which brings together works spanning from the year 1900 until now and includes a world premiere. Olli Mustonen, the Finnish composer and pianist, has written his new work Taivaanvalot (Heavenly Lights) for tenor Ian Bostridge and cellist Steven Isserlis. The oldest work performed tonight is Sibelius’ Malinconia, written after the death of his daughter; its recording has earned Mustonen and Isserlis a Grammy nomination.
