Manu Delago is part of the contemporary movement of classically trained artists who use the influence of electronic music. His recent album Circadian, performed by Delago and nine musicians, is like a cycle of different stages and refers to the various sleep phases. The result is a fascinating interplay of sounds and rhythms that is anything but inducing sleep. Manu Delago is known worldwide as an excellent player of the handpan: a steel percussion instrument that resembles an upside-down steel drum and that is played by hand. He collaborated with, among others, Björk, Ólafur Arnalds, Anoushka Shankar and Cinematic Orchestra. ‘A masterful and sensitive musician’ (The Telegraph). ‘Virtuoso’ (The Times).
