Concertgebouworkest met Bachs 'Hohe Messe'

The Royal Concertgebouw’s annual Christmas concert is back, and this year they’ve chosen to play Bach’s Mass in B minor, for the first time in 45 years. The Mass was one of Bach’s very last compositions, completed one year before the German composer passed away. It’s a monumental composition that brings together everything Bach is known for, and one of the greatest musical works of all time. The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Collegium Vocale Gent, with conductor Philippe Herreweghe at the helm, will do this masterpiece justice this holiday season, so be sure to stop by.
