Colloquium: Organ tuning in the 15th century

If your musical tastes turn towards organ music, you may well be interested in this colloquium. The Free University's Adam Rahbee will speak about 15th century organ tuning techniques and Wim Diepenhorst, who developed the concept of the Van Straten organ and supervised its construction, will discuss his work. To test new insights into tuning practices, organ experts from Orgelmakerij Reil will 'tune' some pipes at the Orgelpark in Amsterdam. Note, English will be spoken.
