Liberation Festival Homomonument
Nowadays, the pink triangle at the Westerkerk is an important symbol of LGBTI emancipation, but it was the sign for gay prisoners in the German camps during the Second World War. The events at the Homomonument are organized entirely by volunteers and financed with the proceeds from drinks sales. All profits benefit the LGBTI community.
