Photonen presents Vocaal Mozaïek - picking up the pieces

Photonen vocaal ensemble conducted by Jeroen Spitteler picks up the musical thread by giving two concerts in one afternoon. Its program Vocaal Mozaïek – picking up the pieces takes approximately one hour, and will bring you beautiful choral works from the 21st and 20th century. Exciting Hondsdagen ('Dog days'), written for Photonen by Dutch composer Martijn Voorvelt, Autumn Landscapes by Estonian composer Veljo Tormis as well as surprisingly comforting choir music by young contemporary composers such as Pärt Uusberg and Jake Runestad.

Photonen supplements this vocal 'mosaic' with music that continued to inspire the ensemble in recent months, such as Psalm 42 by Sweelinck and Oorsprong ('Origin') by Jeroen Spitteler, that premiered online in May this year. Photonen is looking forward to finally being able to sing it to you in person.

Works by Sweelinck, Uusberg, Tormis, Voorvelt, Harris, Runestad.
