Film 'Kleiburg, the last Bijlmer flat' (2014, 52 minutes)
The history and future of the Bijlmer, originally built as 'city of the future', is shown from the perspective of Kleiburg flat through interviews with former residents, architects and other enthusiasts. It is interesting to note that this flat has been saved from demolition and has won the prestigious Mies van der Rohe architecture prize. The film raises the question of whether demolition is the right way to revitalise a city or neighborhood.
