- 10:00-14:00 – A new instruction session starts every 15 minutes
About bouldering at Monk
The bouldering walls at Monk are more than four metres high and very varied in shape. There are thick crash pads at the bottom.
Monk has more than 150 boulders, ranging in difficulty from really easy to virtually impossible. A boulder is a short climbing route with coloured hand holds, and a marked beginning and end. The aim is to climb the route from start to finish without falling. The difficulty is determined by different factors: the angle of the wall, and the choice and number of holds.
During 24H Noord you can join an instruction session every 15 minutes. It’s no problem if you come alone, you don’t need a partner. You can climb in clean sports shoes, or rent climbing shoes for €4. You should wear a suitable sports outfit. Changing rooms, showers and lockers are available. The café is open to anyone and offers a good view of the climbing walls.
