Until 2025, Collecting the City in the Hermitage will be where Amsterdam Museum will display its exhibitions in collaboration with various organisations in the city. Neighbourhood museums, networks, local artists and enthusiastic residents will share their stories and objects about Amsterdam here.

The presentation of this 'collection' is dynamic. Every six months, new makers are invited to showcase their ideas. A permanent partner is the Museum om de Hoek Foundation, which includes 23 local museums in Amsterdam. They have a total of three rooms at their disposal.
