The story

Azaro is a ghost child who won't give up on the human world where he roams between spirits, traditions, people and their modernity. He seeks answers to the question 'Why do I stay here with the people?' Choreographer Qudus Onikeku bridges the gap between tradition and modernity, looking through Azaro's eyes at the history and fractures of human existence. Azaro's quest is a metaphor for Onikeku's own question 'Why stay in Nigeria when I can have a less stressful life in Europe?' The performance is accompanied by live music by Nigerian musicians.
