Weather and Wind

This fascinating exhibition at Singer Laren brings together work by a range of artists and poets who have been inspired by weather that is uniquely Dutch and often extreme. Dramatic seascapes depicting storms at sea and on land, snowy landscapes and other scenes that capture threatening weather are to be seen along with poetry evoking inclement weather. Moments of beauty can be found in simple scenes of fog-covered benches and marvellous sunsets by a wealth of artists including Hendrick Avercamp, Jan van Goyen, Piet Mondrian, George Hendrik Breitner, Maurits Cornelis Escher and Carel Willink.
