Wdstck presents a photo exhibition of Evelyn Bencicova, a young, upcoming photographer from Bratislava. In her relatively short career she has already worked with numerous international clients such as Gucci, Dior and Cartier as well as cultural institutions such as Kunsthalle Basel and the Slovak National Theatre. In 2016, Evelyn won the prestigious Hasselblad Masters and BronColor GenNext award. The organizer of the exhibition, an Amsterdam art and design label named Wdstck, exhibits exclusive works inspired by old Dutch masters and still lives.  For Wdstck, Bencicova has made portraits of pairs who are in contact with each other in an alienating way. For this project, Bencicova uses artificial light during her shoots for the first time in her career to simulate the use of light in Old Dutch paintings. In Amsterdam North from February to April 2018, you can view the photo exhibition on Saturdays in the 'House of Wdstck'.
